No one should ever go into the woods alone.

Brielle has grown up listening to tales of a beast that attacks humans, leaving behind only a scattering of bones and limbs. It’s probably the elders’ way of keeping little children in line, but it doesn’t explain her grisly premonitions of blood, claws, and severed heads.

But when Brielle finds a mangled body in the woods, she begins to wonder if the grim stories may actually be true. Soon, Lord Kenrick, Knight of the Crowhurst Order, arrives asking questions about the legendary monster. Brielle’s attraction to him is immediate and undeniable. She volunteers to help him search for clues to the creature’s existence, despite her suspicions about his timing.

As her seventeenth birthday approaches, Brielle’s nightmares worsen and more villagers go missing. If Brielle doesn’t figure out the connection between Kenrick, the beast, and her visions, more people will die. As Brielle falls deeper in love with Kenrick and deeper into the snares of the abominable beast, she’ll become part of a legend so great, no one will ever question its validity again.

Author Interview
1. What is your writing process? Do you aim for a word count daily or maybe just a scene?
Ahhh, my writing process is normally whatever time I can fit in during my lunch hours (LOL). The only time I start writing at home/weekends is when I’m on a deadline. I don’t usually set myself a goal. It’s pretty much whatever I can get done on my breaks at work.

2. What sort of research did you do for this book?

I did a little bit of research on Roma/Gypsy culture. But most of it just kind of came from my head.

3. What are you working on now? Any chance of a sequel?

Ohhh, right now I’m trying to figure out what book to write next. I’ve got SO many ideas rolling around in my head, but I think I have it narrowed down between two (both of which I need to do research on-LOL). I’ll give you one clue, the book I just ordered for research had to do with herbs/poisons (I know, not much to go on).

4. How did you come up for the idea of your book?

For Legend of Me, I was kind of playing the “What if” game. I knew I wanted the story to be kind of in the realm of a fairytale, but I wanted it with a twist. So the story was kind of born from those kind of thoughts.

5. Just for fun — what TV shows or movies have you really enjoyed (or disliked?) recently?

OMG, there are so many. I’m hooked on KDramas (Korean Dramas) and am currently watching one called Are You Human Too? It’s SO SO good. But recently I watched While You Were Sleeping (the kdrama) and also did a rewatch of Dream Knight (which has my favorite Kpop group, GOT7 in it).
