Cover Reveal for Her Crown of Fire by Renee April

Her Crown of Fire
by Renee April
Genre: YA Fantasy
Release Date: November 1st 2019
Write Plan
Summary:
In the dull, everyday world, seventeen-year-old Rose Evermore struggles to plan beyond her final year of high school. But when fire suddenly obeys her every command and her dreams predict the future, she becomes hungry for more of this strange power.
Under her dreams’ guidance, Rose lands in the fantasy realm of Lotheria–with a tagalong. Tyson, her best friend since childhood, winds up there with her, just as confused and a hell of a lot more vulnerable. In Lotheria, Rose is welcomed and celebrated as a fire mage at the Academy, while the very un-magical Tyson is forced into hiding under threat of death from the masters of Rose’s new school.
As Rose’s talent in fire magic draws unwanted attention and Tyson struggles to transition from high school student to blacksmith, Rose must find a way to return Tyson to their own world before the masters discover and execute him–no matter the cost.

Electronic books for May 2018

At my work, I’m sort of an advocate for the electronic book. I’m the one who teaches people how to use apps for eBooks and eAudiobooks. I like promoting technology and reading, obviously, so here’s a list of books I’ve checked out in electronic form lately.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell (Older book but a great audiobook that is very easy to get in to.)

The Surface Breaks : a reimagining of The little mermaid by Louise O’Neill (This one is on hold and I’ve heard so much buzz about it.)

People Like Us by Dana Mele (If you like PLL, read this!)

Dracula by Bram Stoker (We’re going to Whitby this weekend, so I wanted to get into the goth mood)

Patrick Melrose Vol. 1: Never Mind, Bad New, and Some Hope by Edward St. Aubyn (Benedict Cumberbatch must influence so many library shelves)

Uncommon Type by Tom Hanks (how could I not try this out?)

Love and War by Melissa de la Cruz (We didn’t get to see Hamilton this year but I’m hopeful that one year, maybe I will.)

I also have The Subtle Art of Not Giving an F book which is in print and both Mister Pick and I have enjoyed reading.

And, as always, if you have a library ticket/card, ask what eBook and eAudiobook app they use and get yourself registered. What am I saying? Of course you have a library ticket!

Ivy Pierce has been to Hades and back trying to escape Nix and his evil plans to use her. After a failed attempt to save her loved ones, she was forced to leave her friends, her sister and the boy she had fallen in love with, Ryder Sutton.

And yet Olympus isn’t finished with her yet.

As Nix plots to overthrow the legendary mountain, Ivy is pulled back into the twisted, manipulative world of the Greek pantheon. Thrust into the middle of an ancient feud, Ivy will learn quickly that Nix is not the only threat to her freedom and not the only god interested in using her unique skillset to resurrect the Age of Olympus.

In a deadly game between two powerful factions of Greek gods, Ivy will have to battle both fate and the Fates in order to secure her future once and for all. She will discover new powers, fight for her friends’ lives and convince the only boy she has ever loved that he can trust her again.

In the end, she’ll learn the hardest lesson of all. This isn’t a fable or a Greek myth, her life is a love story.

Haven’t read this Amazon Best Selling Series Yet?

Lila Felix, Author of Burden and The Love & Skate Series — This is a magnificent ride on the mythological side–but with an exciting contemporary flare. Rachel nailed it with The Siren Series.

Mandy from I Read Indie book blog — It is a book that keeps your interest and eager to find its secrets. Secrets that are well worth the wait. I am absolutely anticipating book 2.

A life not her own—A future already decided.

Every facet of Ivy Pierce’s life is meticulously planned out and plotted. Cynical and jaded by sixteen, Ivy’s only hope is to escape the legacy she was born into.

She has a plan, a carefully thought out, feasible plan. She just has to play by the rules until everything falls into place. Unfortunately as predictable as her life can be, she never sees Ryder Sutton coming. He tumbles into her life unimpressed and untouched by her and the life she lives. He’s an enigma to her. A gorgeous, frustrating, sincere mystery and a complete phenomenon in the ugly world she lives in.

What blooms between them is a fiercely intense attraction that cannot be ignored. Even though they would both be better off without each other—Even if both their lives depend on staying apart.
